Dragonborn Seers[edit]
I recently reverted an edit to this page which removed the line about Dragonborns possessing the gift of sight and added the Septim Dynasty to the list of seers. I've restored this information and moved it back to the main text, since my claim was properly sourced and seems to apply generally to those of "dragon blood" rather than specifically that dynasty. Only Uriel VII has been confirmed to have had this gift, so I've left him on the seers list.
I realised after that there may be some confusion caused by the fact that my reference links to OB:Baurus, which has barely any dialogue documented at present. For the sake of clarity, this is the relevant line: "They say it's the Dragon Blood, that flows through the veins of every Septim. They see more than lesser men." There have previously been some developer posts clarifying that not all Dragonborns have the explicit power to absorb dragon souls etc. that we see in TESV, so it really isn't that unheard of for the gift to manifest in other ways. —Legoless (talk) 20:59, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
- I moved it to Notable Seers since that's the section pertaining to the actual users of sight, rather than the power itself. I changed "Some Dragonborns" to "The Dragonborn of the Septim Dynasty" because I thought it was more specific based on that exact line from Baurus. (Dragonborn is plural btw) There is no problem with the information, just that it belongs in the other section, since it's about Seers themselves and not the ability. -Dcsg (talk) 23:20, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

- I'm fine with changing the placement of the info on the page, but to me the above dialogue line supports the Septims as an example of Dragonborn (pl.) being blessed with visions rather than it being something specific to their dynasty. In the context of the time period, the Septims had been the only Dragonborn individuals around for hundreds of years, and yet their dragon blood is specifically said to be the source of these powers. —Legoless (talk) 23:40, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
