Plural[edit]
Should this article not be named Lore:Druids? It's about a group of people. See Lore:Tongues, Lore:Witches, Lore:Wardens, Lore:Reachmen, Lore:Dragon Knights as comparisons. —Legoless (talk) 15:54, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- Agreed. When I originally made Lore:Wardens, I also had it in the singular "Lore:Warden", and it just felt wrong. Druids fits better, especially since the article itself opens in the plural. Wikipedia's article on real world druids opens in the singular, so the article name also being singular feels less "off" CoolBlast3 (talk) 23:22, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- When I made this page in April 2022 I named it "Lore:Druids" too. Singular works in a lot of places but not here. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 00:18, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- This argument of opening with the plural and sounding off also applies to the race pages (the only exception, coincidentally, being the Reachmen page linked above), but precedent indicates that some people found the plurals either irregular or not worth the effort to change. I second the decision to rename this article on the contingent that the race articles be changed too, for consistency across the site. Mindtrait0r (talk) 00:22, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- This isn't really about plurality as a whole, this is about this specific page. Jeancey (talk) 00:47, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- I'm just making my stance known that this decision would reasonably set a precedent. Mindtrait0r (talk) 00:52, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- Name should be changed to Druids. So should all non-Reachmen races, but thats topic for another talk page. Druid in singluar in the past was allright, since at that time all we knew of druids (of galen) was that they were Breton ancestors. (and as such were in line with treatment other races got) But now we see that this is far from being the case now that material is vastly expanded.Tyrvarion (talk) 06:48, 27 April 2023 (UTC)

(←) Since there have been no objections, I've moved the page to the plural. —Legoless (talk) 14:24, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
