Removing Original Research[edit]
There's no evidence at all that Cloud Top and the Temple of Alma Ruma are intended to be the same location at all. The geography doesn't really match at all, the temple ruins are wildly different and there's no textual evidence of a connection. I've removed this as original research, since "they are roughly in the same area" is not a good enough reason to include them, especially since this boils down to original research. - I think there's been some misunderstanding. Cloud Top does not refer to the temple or ruins, but the mountain itself. This was cleared up a while ago as we agreed that the temple isn't for certain the same building as the ruins, the ruins themselves are irrelevant. This page is about the mountain, and both buildings were at some point found on the mountain. We use the roughly the same area thing a lot in many pages, particularly Skyrim and Cyrodiil locations, due to the re-used heightmaps. I'm sure we can all agree the mountain we see in Oblivion is the same one we see in ESO. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 18:43, 9 May 2024 (UTC)

- I didn't include info on the Scroll Temple when I created this article because I do agree that the geography is a little bit fuzzy. ESO changed the landscape a lot for the DC PvP base in that area, and the concept of Cloud Top as a mountain didn't really survive. That said, the Temple is in the same place as the mountain in Oblivion, so it's not inconsistent with how we treat other such cases (e.g. Lore:Karthwatch vs Lore:Broken Tower Redoubt).

- Personally I think deleting the Temple info outright is not the correct way to handle this. I would prefer to see a split. There's no original research here, it's just sometimes better to have one article rather than two when discussing a general area's history. —Legoless (talk) 22:43, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
