Separate Dragonguard and Blades articles[edit]
I'm not entirely sure on this, but shouldn't the Dragonguard and the Blades have separate articles?
While they are two organisations dedicated to the protection of the Dragonborn Emperors, it seems to me that they are fundamentally different to be considered the same. The original Dragonguard and its reformed variant under Sai Sahan were groups primarily dedicated to the hunting of dragons, with the protection of the dragonborn emperor as an added bonus. And as far as I know, that's all they did.
Meanwhile, the Blades are more of an intelligence-gathering group that while they maintained the ideal of protecting the emperor, they (to my knowledge) never participated in hunting down dragons, use different iconography. But at its core, they were the militant arm of the Order of Talos.
I'd say the situation is similar to the Knights Templar and the Order of Christ, in which the latter was formed out of the assets and traditions of the former, over time developed traditions of its own.
Any thoughts on this? -ColovianHastur (talk) 18:05, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
- I've taken the liberty of splitting the two articles. -ColovianHastur (talk) 23:41, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
