One thing that isn't well explained and a lot of people miss is that Harkon and Vyrthur want to use the bow a lot differently than you end up using it as a vampire. They want to kill Serana or Valerica and use their blood to corrupt the bow itself, permanently blocking the sun. It's true that they intended to permanently block the sun, but the corruption of the Bow or the necessity of Serana's death is never mentioned as far as I know. —Legoless (talk) 16:31, 15 March 2014 (GMT)
