At long last, the fabled Wrathstone is in my possession! I am so close to claiming the mythical demon weapon and finally putting an end to the Three Banners War. When I first heard of the rumors that such a weapon existed, I nearly dismissed them out of hand. But holding the Wrathstone in my hands - feeling its weight and beholding its etchings firsthand - I have no doubt that the stories must be true.
It was a stroke of luck that I was able to purchase the halves of the Wrathstone for myself. The peddler who owned them, a Redguard woman named Tharayya, clearly did not understand their import, or I would not have been able to pry them from her hands. (If treasure hunters had gotten wind of a map leading to an ancient weapon of terrible power, I am sure that I would have been forced to spend more gold than I did!)
In any event, decoding this ancient tablet may be more difficult than I anticipated. There is clearly a map depicted on the surface of the Wrathstone, but understanding the coordinates is not as straightforward as I had hoped. The map inscribed has no identifying features, and therefore it is impossible to know which part of Tamriel is depicted. The inscription, a recounting of a Khajiiti myth titled "Khunzar-ri and the Demon Weapon," almost certainly holds clues to decipher the map. However, that will require finding Khajiiti historians or storytellers who know enough about the history of their myths to locate the points of interest shown on the Wrathstone's surface. I am hopeful that I will be able to convince Dagaril-dro, a Khajiit loremaster that I met during my travels, to assist me in locating Khajiiti storytellers who can decode the map. He seemed mostly reliable, though somewhat aloof. If he refuses... well, I will think of some way to convince him.
I shall continue my work with diligence and will note any progress that I make. Jorunn, Emeric, and Ayrenn will be unable to continue their warring ways when the demon weapon is in my hands. With any luck, I will be able to use it to put an end to this terrible conflict before the seasons turn and prevent more needless bloodshed across Tamriel.
