Sariellen's Sword is a ruined Ayleid complex located at the western borderlands of Black Marsh, west of Argonian settlement of Hutan-Tzel.[1]

Little is known of the original purpose of the Ayleid structures of Sariellen's Sword. The centerpiece of the site was a mysterious statue of an elven warrior wielding a sword, which is likely the reason for the origins of the site's name.[1]

During the Second Era, the ruins were home to a forge with special properties.[1][2] It was one of many special crafting sites scattered across Tamriel,[3] known to provide unique effects to weapons, armor, and jewelry created in such places.[4][5][6] The creative skill of the smiths who have worked these forges has imbued those sites with the divine spark of creativity, transforming the local reality such that items crafted there possess certain unique attributes.[7] Some of those places were known to contain lingering arcane power.[8]
