Rats are rodents common to all of Tamriel, closely related to mice. They can be found both in city sewers and the wilderness, and are known to carry a variety of diseases. They also can vary in size greatly. Rats are often kept by goblins for food.[1]:53 Pack rats can be trained to carry or drag items. Skeevers are similar large rodents found commonly in Skyrim.
The Cyrodilic rat is seemingly not as aggressive as its other provincial counterparts, but they are widely prevalent in Cyrodiil, equally in basement dwellings, plains, caves, and ruins.[2] Vvardenfell is home to several species of giant rat, such as waste rats,[3] rust rats, and cave rats.[4]
There is an obscure Khajiiti deity known as the Rat-god,[5] whose followers can be found at Alizahad.[UOL 1]
