Lore:Mara's Blouse
Mara's Blouse is a piece of clothing associated with the Goddess of Love, Mara. It is a red blouse imbued with magical properties that protect the wearer from the effects of hostile spells.[1][2]
History[edit]
In 3E 427, Mara appeared to the Nerevarine during their service to the Imperial Cult as a Breton healer named Ama Nin. She was held prisoner at Berandas, a stronghold in Vvardenfell's West Gash. Ama Nin said that she was captured during her journey from Ald'ruhn to Gnisis by a pair of Winged Twilights, who snatched her from the road, bore her into the air, and dragged her beneath the earth. After being freed, she rewarded the Nerevarine with her "lucky change of clothes" she carried with her on her travels as a good luck charm and advised the Nerevarine to wear them in remembrance of her, and in token of their generosity to a stranger.[2][3][4]:173 It was given to the Nerevarine together with another piece of clothing, Mara's Skirt.[5]
