Fate Crone's runes

The Fate Crone was an obscure Apocryphal entity associated with the runes used by Arcanists, who was described as resembling an ancient Hag.[1] One way for an Arcanist to harness their power was by inscribing the runes of the Fate Crone to create objects, such as spinning mystical discs, also known as chakrams of destiny, which could grant magical protective shields. Similarly to the Blind Man and Baron of Breakers she was associated with such discs.[1][2]

Arcanists sometimes attempted to seek power and knowledge from the Fate Crone, and Azandar al-Cybiades was known to summon her. In Azandar's description of the Fate Crone, he thought her a pleasant conversationalist, but she tended to be rather reserved and not very forthcoming with information.[1]

Notes[edit]

  • According to Michael Zenke, the Arcanist skill line tooltips introduce several concepts, and they are all real, regardless of whether they are extensively explored in the current release or in future updates. Each of these references holds substantial content and ideas behind them.[UOL 1]
