Lore:Crimson Oath
The Crimson Oath are a group of Daedra loyal to Mehrunes Dagon, They are mainly comprised of Dremora warriors who have a desire to maraud across Tamriel.[1] They claim to be Dagon's most trusted, but according to the Waking Flame they are nothing more than brute killers.[2]
Circa 2E 582, Dagon assigned them to protect the Waking Flame cultists constructing the Antecedent Cataclyst in the Dread Cellar. They were rather bored with their posting to the Cellar,[1] and viewed the Waking Flame as foolish mortals only fit for submission, being quite evidently jealous that Dagon entrusted them with the Cataclyst.[2] A group of Undaunted and Imperial Battlemages later attacked the Cellar and destroyed the Antecedent Cataclyst.[3]
