Controversy Section[edit]

I feel this page should be more neutral sounding as the majority of this page is composed of a controversy section, and I'm worried this section would damage our relationship with the developers. I'm not seeing a section like this on any other developer pages, so should we even be putting controversies on a person's page anyway? Are the Reddit comments used here that are not developer comments even considered a valid citation?--Analeah Oaksong (talk) 04:06, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

If this is not normal to put controversies section on these type of pages, then I am not sure why it is here. We shouldn't be an opinion blog, we just provide information. +1 for neutral rewrite.--Talyyn (talk) 04:24, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
Rim contributed good quality research attempting to archive these instances, but I agree with Talyyn and Analeah, this just ain't the place for this stuff. We ain't a gossip column. If these topics need to be included, they should be relegated to the notes section, if that. --TheRockWithAMedicineCupOnHisHead (talk) 04:50, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
Just wanted to note the page is still in progress and this was not the final draft, it was always my intention to document everything regarding this, and then look at as a reader to trim out whatever wasn't notable. I've trimmed it down now to just the important stuff into the body of the article, one is a self-admitted mistake in a published interview and the other is the major controversy of the livestream comments on the PvP community, which was a very big issue at the time it happened and still comes up often. I'm not a big fan of a similar section on another dev page, but I understand why it exists and was experimenting with following that format on this page, but ultimately I don't think its the way to do it here. As much as I don't want to mention controversies, in the aim of being neutral it would be wrong to not mention them at all, so reducing it to a few lines (similar to the mentions of Weaver's legal battles on his page) seems to be the best option. I hope that the new and finalized version is much more appealing to everyone. The Rim of the Sky (talk) 05:36, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
I think this works fine, but I am not normally involved with these types of pages.--Talyyn (talk) 06:34, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
