Daggerfall talk:Skills
Skill Name[edit]
The recent changes are all fine except my copy of the DF Chronicles calls the skill "Pickpocketing" rather than "Pickpocket", and a quick search through the game files says the same. Are you sure about that one? –Rpeh•T•C•E• 01:51, 30 November 2008 (EST)
- Well an image says more than thousand words, and two images say more than two-thousand words. But you are correct when saying, the in-game text says the skill is called pickpocketing. But the character page and the training menu say it's spelled "Pickpocket". What I've never mentioned, but what should be self-evident is, my game informations come always from the latest patch 2.13.

- And for the protocol, on Daggerfall:Leveling_and_Skills#Guild_Training_Skills the skills were already named correctly.--PLRDLF 00:54, 1 December 2008 (EST)
SWIMMNG[edit]
I can't swim
does anybody else have the problem where swimming flat doesn't work at all until about 10% at which point it stays at 1 pixle every 20 mnutes or something ridiculous like that(but speed up cheat and I can get somewhere so I know I'm moving) and once you hit 24% with trainers or cheats it works on the same scale as climbing seems to from 5% up.
is it just broken? with 24 set as 0 or what? — Unsigned comment by 155.43.160.22 (talk) at 16:09 on 19 September 2012

User Manual description[edit]
I removed the text which states "Description of skill (from Daggerfall user manual)" to just "Description of skill" since the text shown here clearly does not match with the Daggerfall user manual.
For example next to archery it states here "Archery is the skill governing one's ability to hit targets and cause damage using a bow and arrow." While in the user manual it states "Characters skilled in Archery are lethally accurate with bows and arrows. Your Arche1y skill is automatically checked whenever you use a long bow or a short bow."
While both texts basically state the same thing, they are not word-for-word equivalent and stating that the text was found in the user manual is somewhat misleading.
Also to note, all three removed skills aren't listed in Daggerfall's manual either which is another reason why that statement was removed. athf (talk) 04:25, 9 May 2016 (UTC)
