Daggerfall Unity: Weapon Material[edit]
Weapon material is an important factor in DFU combat. Some enemies cannot be hit with weapons that are too low material. Enemies also follow the same rules for weapon materials; if an enemy is trying to hit a werewolf or vampire with a weapon that is lower than silver in material, he or she will do no damage.
Material Requirements[edit]
The following list shows what materials can hit which enemies. All subsequent materials can hit any foe from a previous entry (ie: a Mithril sword can damage an imp just as well as a Steel one can). Unarmed fists can hit any enemy successfully.
- Iron: Any enemy not listed below.
- Steel: Imp.
- Silver: Ghost; Mummy; Vampire; Wereboar; Werewolf; Wraith.
- Elven: Nymph.
- Dwarven: Harpy.
- Mithril/Adamantium: Ancient Lich; any Daedra; Gargoyle; Lich; Vampire Ancient.
