Gem Codes[edit]
Gems and precious stones are an efficient method of carrying wealth. A fine jewel is both lighter than a sack of gold, and much more valuable. A starting character who posesses an armful of rubies would have little trouble provisioning himself, limited only by what goods and services are offered in his locale.
To provide the starting character with a gem simply consult the table below for the (x, y, z) coordinate of the desired jewel, and provide those values as an IT x y z
code in the biography file.
[Example: the code IT 14 1 0
will give the starting character an emerald. ]
X | Y | Z | Gemstone |
---|---|---|---|
14 | 0 | 0 | Ruby |
14 | 1 | 0 | Emerald |
14 | 2 | 0 | Sapphire |
14 | 3 | 0 | Diamond |
14 | 4 | 0 | Jade |
14 | 5 | 0 | Turquoise |
14 | 6 | 0 | Malachite |
14 | 7 | 0 | Amber |
