Bed

Bed CT-icon-Life.png is a Worksation in Castles that gives to the involved Subjects the ability to reproduce.

It has the capacity of up to 2 Subjects and occupies CT-icon-PropSize-2x1.png.

Usage[edit]

Allows two people to become lovers and have a baby.
Compatibility between subjects depends on their happiness and traits. For best results, assign two subjects with the same happiness level and traits.

Allows Subjects to have children, under the conditions:

  • Subjects are not family members (unless it is a married couple)
  • Both Subjects are Adults, but not Elders
  • None of the Subjects has a child under the age of one year
  • Castle has not reached the population limit
  • Subjects have friendly relations [verification needed]
  • (?) [verification needed — other conditions?]

After a little prelude, if the Subjects fit the general criteria, they go to bed with the covers closing, after a few seconds, the covers open and the Subjects come out with their new baby. After this, this Subjects cannot have another baby for 24 hours.

A new baby Congratulations! I hope they inherited their parents’ best Traits.

Usually, children will have the Traits of their parents, but the rarity (number of Traits) will not always match, so two Legendary Subjects will not necessarily make a Legendary child[verification needed]. The chance of getting a child with a better rarity increases at events like Baby Boom.

The game does not regard the race and gender of the Subjects, and also allows extramarital relations, which can also lead to unique Rulings of couple conflicts where one of the partners cheated on the other.
