Ungveir

Ungveir, a Nord scout, is a Stormcloak agent hiding out in an abandoned tower south of Fort Pale Pass. He will only appear after stage 400 of the related quest, as he waits for Olaf Cold-Heart to deliver some precious documents to him. Unless you choose to kill him, he will remain in the tower for the rest of the game.

Ungveir is armed with a leveled one-handed weapon and is equipped with an iron cuirass, gauntlets and boots. He also carries a random assortment of gold, lockpicks, food, drink and jewelry.

Dialogue[edit]

Ungveir spends all his time leaning against the tower walls, waiting for his contact to show up. When you arrive he will greet you with:

"Ungveir. My name is Ungveir."

If you ask how he got over the mountain he will confide:

"There's more than one way to climb a mountain. There are a few passages here and there the Imperials don't know about."

When questioning him about his motives for trekking into Cyrodiil, he explains:

"Because I'm here to liaise with that jumpy little milk-drinker of a Nord, Olaf. Or at least I was. I don't like operating outside of Skyrim. I've no grief with most of the Imperials. Just the ones slaughtering us for daring to stand up for ourselves in our own homeland."

If you hand over the documents, he will reward you with leveled gold and say:

"Ha! Well, well. I was told to expect that unblooded whelp, Olaf. I guess my gut feeling about him proved right in the end. You have my thanks - and the gratitude of all true Nords. Here - take the payment Olaf was due. It's the least you deserve for stepping up in place of that milk-drinker."

If you choose to fight, he will shout: "Oh, that's the way it is, eh? Show me what you've got." And draws his weapon.
