Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
A Mixed-Up Milk-Drinker[edit]
This quest does not appear in your journal and can therefore be started at any of the three locations listed above. The story starts on the eastern shore of Reman's Mirror, where you will find a small campsite with an embossed nordic strongbox and a disemboweled Stormcloak. The offending bear is loitering nearby - dispatch it and loot the Stormcloak of his key and a Frayed Page. As well as foreseeing his fate, the note reveals that the dead man's name is Rungvar, and that he was tasked with resupplying some Stormcloak agents in County Bruma. In a disastrous turn of events, Rungvar got the keys to three supply chests mixed up and is now unable to open the nearby strongbox.
To find the missing key, first head up country to Northfringe Cave, and after battling past a number of animals, you should spot a second fallen Stormcloak and strongbox, just to the south of the entrance. Loot her key and a Blood-Soaked Page, which contains a rant against Rungvar as well as a clue to the location of the final chest: Fort Pale Pass.
Press north past Snowstone Rest and follow the road up towards the fort, past a number of derelict towers. Just before the fort, to the north, is a collapsed tower with a flag flying. At the top is the third fallen Stormcloak with the final key and a Scrawled Missive.
Claiming the Supplies[edit]
Now that all the keys are in your possession, you will be able to open all the strongboxes. Each one contains leveled jewelry, leveled gems, leveled gold, a leveled ingot and a leveled empty soul gem.
Notes[edit]
- If you are getting mixed-up yourself, an easy way to work out which keys open which strongboxes is to rely on their name: embossed, engraved and ornamented.
