Chester works on board The Gilded Duckling in Bravil Docks

Chester is an Imperial commoner who serves Duke Agrivaine and Duchess Giselle on board The Gilded Duckling, a ship moored in the Bravil Docks. He is quite happy with his job.

Chester rises at 9am every morning and eats breakfast for an hour. He then heads up to the Duckling's mid deck to tend to his duties until 5pm, when he goes to the captain's cabin to tidy up. He works there until 2am, when he heads back to his bed on the lower deck.

Chester wears livery in the duke's colours (gold and russet) and green velvet shoes; he carries a key to the ship and potatoes for snacking.

Chester is very polite and willing to help if he can: "Can I help you sir [madam]?" He is talkative and willing to discuss a number of subjects, like:

• The captain: "The Gilded Duckling has no captain. The crew take their orders from my Duke."
• The duke: "Duke Agrivaine. He and his wife - along with some guests - are here from Summerset Isle, visiting Cyrodiil's "finest" cities. Though if Bravil is truly one of the finest, I think this trip will be a short one."
• His job: "I am the Duke's head butler. When The Duke and Duchess decided to take this voyage from Shimerene on Summerset Isle, he chose myself and one of the maids to serve him and the Duchess. We also serve his guests on occasion."
• The guests: "Lord Kildred and his wife Lady Trivelda are guests of the Duke, and are traveling with us."
• The ship: "We are on the Gilded Duckling, one of a number of vessels owned by my Duke."

Notes

• After completing the quest Strange Bedfellows, if The Gilded Duckling has sailed away from Bravil, then it will no longer be possible to meet Chester.
