Brenard Gaussian

Brenard Gaussian is a Breton merchant who runs Scribe Supplies, a shop in the Imperial City Market District that sells books, scrolls, and writing supplies.

He gets up at 6am every morning and eats breakfast for two hours, then goes downstairs to open his shop for the day. He remains open until 8pm. On Morndas, Middas, and Fredas, he goes to The Merchants Inn for four hours to eat and relax before he goes home to bed; every other day, he eats dinner in his apartment for two hours, then spends another couple of hours painting before he goes to bed at midnight.

Brenard wears a brown shirt, burgundy linen pants, and doeskin shoes; he carries some boar meat, cheese, and bread, along with a moderate amount of gold and a key to his shop.

Brenard lives above his shop in a medium-sized apartment. Half of the room is taken up with a small area for painting and a table where he does scribing; the middle part of the room is his dining area (a trestle table and food cupboard), and the back third is his sleeping area.

Visitors to Brenard's shop are greeted by the owner himself: "If you've come for office supplies, you've come to the right place! Scribe Supplies offer all sorts of items dedicated to the artist in mind, whether it be writing a book, painting a masterpiece, or simply writing down your thoughts." When asked if his wares are in high demand, he says: "You bet it is! I ship paper, books, scrolls, canvas, and all sorts of other supplies, including quills, paint and inkwells, brushes, and other office supplies, all over Cyrodiil. You'll find my personal products in almost every home and store in every city from Anvil, all the way up to Bruma, even far south as Leyawiin. I also ship to the other provinces, but not as much, seeing as they themselves are already quite self-sufficient with stationery."
