Ada at rest in her home

Ada is an old Breton commoner who lives a quiet life in on the southern island in Bravil with her cat, Pansy. Her husband died some years ago, leaving her with a pension and the house.

Ada rises at 8am, eats breakfast for two hours, then engages in minor tasks around the house for most of the day. At 4pm, she sits down to enjoy some tea and pastries for four hours; after that, she spends a few hours reading a book before going to bed at midnight.

Ada wears a plaid shirt, a green felt linen skirt, and buckled shoes. She carries four currant buns, an apple, a mug, a copy of Biography of Barenziah, v 1 and the key to her house.

Her house is small but cozy. It consists of a single room, with an alcove for her bed. A bookshelf holds lots of books, a picture of her late husband, and a ship in a bottle, a memento from one of his trips.

Ada is quite friendly, and happy to have visitors, as is her cat: "Don't mind Pansy, she's just very affectionate... if she becomes a bother, I'll just put her outside for a little while." If you ask about Pansy, she'll reply "Oh, I can barely remember... my late husband Henry and I adopted her when she was just a little kitten... but that was over ten years ago..." She goes on to say: "Our thirtieth wedding anniversary is coming up in a matter of weeks... That will probably be hard to get through, but I have Pansy for company, so I think I'll manage..."
