Priest

Priests reside in temples. They offer healing and can cure diseases or poisons. If you feel generous, you may also donate gold to gain a blessing. Though you may occasionally see priests outside of temples, often delivering judgments to all, only the ones in temples will provide services.

Special Greetings[edit]

Priest found outside of temples, while being unable to provide the usual services, have unique greetings:

First Encounter
  • "I am [NPC Name] of the [Temple name], my child. How may a poor monk help you?"
  • "The [Temple name] has given me the name [NPC Name]. I am a little familiar with the [Settlement Type] outside my temple. I'll tell you anything I know."
  • "I have taken the name [NPC Name], for that was the name of the savior of my village. What can I do to point you in the path of salvation, sinful [PC race]?"
  • "You do not know? I am only [NPC Name], one of the personal priests of [Ruler's name]. You must be new to town."
  • "Nice to meet you, [PC race]. I am [NPC Name] of the [Temple name]. Can I give you some of our literature, or do you need something else?"
Further Encounters
  • "Ah, [PC race], we meet again. You remember me, [NPC Name] of the [Temple name]? Of course, you do."
  • "Still wandering the dangerous streets of [Settlement name], eh, [PC race]? Take the words of [NPC Name] to heart. Get inside before nightfall."
  • "Good to see you yet again, [PC race]. What can poor friar [NPC Name] do for you this time?"
  • "Still have not found thy way, [PC race]? You remember [NPC Name] of the [Temple name], yes? Tell me how I can help you."
  • "Ah the young [PC race] butcher again. You have not come to confess thy sins to Father [NPC Name] this time either, have you? You just need direction."

Service Dialogue[edit]

Healing

When you click on the heal option in the dialogue interface and have your fee for it extracted, you'll be instantly healed with no additional interactions. If your health is at it's peak however, the priest will utter this:

  • "[PC name] is in perfect condition..."
Cure

Similarly, should you be affected by disease or poison, the option of cure in the dialogue interface will offer the option to remove the negative status for a fee and so you'll be cured with no further exchanges. Should you not be affected by poison or disease however, the priest responds:

  • "We humbly beg your forgiveness for we cannot cure [PC name]..."
Bless

When asking for a blessing, the priests responds:

  • "How much do you wish to donate?"

After which you must introduce a donation in gold, acquire the blessing and receive the next message:

  • "Receive our blessings..."
