The abandoned island fortress of Windbreaker Keep

Windbreaker Keep is a former Imperial fortress in the Padomaic Ocean.

The nearest settlement is Llothanis, to the northwest. From there, make your way southeast to the very tip of the peninsula, and then continue swimming to the island ahead, on which stands the castle.

The keep itself is one of a number erected in the wake of the ill-fated invasion of Akavir, many decades ago. With the absence of retaliation from the east, this keep (and its sister, Wavebreaker Keep, has been permitted to fall into ruin. The docks that once hosted Imperial Navy galleons now lie empty.

Fishermen have made their home here among the ruins, and have been joined by a gang of outlaws in the deeper portion of the keep. These latter individuals guard a relice that is sacred to the Imperial Cult, known as the Ring of Respite.
