Golden armor and weapons are the avian-themed equipment used by the Golden Saints. It was added to the game by the Saints & Seducers Creation.

Golden Smithing

Requires Daedric Smithing Perk. Golden Smithing is learned by reading Joften's Notes, located in a chest under the bridge at Half-Moon Mill. It is part of a miscellaneous quest first started by reading the Notes on the Blacksmith, a note kept by the Saints Bandit Leader. Learning Golden Smithing does not require the miscellaneous quest to be started however, as the chest containing Joften's Notes will be there regardless on if you are on the quest or not.

As it requires Daedric Smithing, Golden Smithing essentially requires a smithing skill of 90. Golden armor and weapons are relatively easy to get without the investment into the skill line, as their pieces can be found on all Saints Bandits. Furthermore, due to their strength when compared to other equipment available to low levels characters, they are useful to obtain early on, assuming you can manage to take on the bandits that carry them.

All Golden items can be tempered using 1 Gold Ingot.

Golden Armor

Golden armor is a variety of heavy armor. The armor is on par with Orcish equipment, except for the cuirass which is better and the shield which is worse.

Golden Weapons

Golden Saint Weapons

Golden weapons are slightly inferior to Glass weapons. They do the same damage as Elven Weapons for higher critical damage and lower weight, apart from the bow which is weaker than a Dwarven Bow.

Bugs

• Golden Saint Gauntlets do not benefit from the Fists of Steel perk.
  • The Official Skyrim Special Edition Patch, version 1.6.318, fixes this bug.
