Abernanit is a small cave located at the center of the peninsula southeast from Gnaar Mok.
The cave is on the bit of land behind a boat next to Gnaar Mok, and home to a small gang of smugglers and a kidnap victim - Dandsa the Redguard. The Imperial Legion is on the case.
The agent Balis Sari provides medium training service in Short Blade as well as minor training in Light Armor, and Sneak if he is snuck up on or calmed.
Upon entry, you will come face-to-face with a hostile leveled creature. The first interior door is trapped. Alonisea Varys, who carries The Axe Man, an Axe skill book, is on a platform soon after. Around the platform are various barrels containing leveled smuggled items.
Through a tunnel are Dandsa and Balis Sari (Balis offers training, if calmed). The room has various barrels and crates containing more smuggled goods and a locked (30) chest containing some gold. The chest hidden behind the rock pillar contains a random restore attribute potion. The other tunnel, to the south, is home to a leveled creature and then Thelama Indaren. The containers around here have a small number of leveled items, some ingredients, and steel weapons. A couple of creatures hide in the water.

Notes[edit]
- Alonisea Varys carries The Axe Man, an Axe skill book. There is no other non-random treasure of note.
- This humble grotto could be the setting for the epic story The Death Blow of Abernanit. However, because the story tells the tale of a now-ruined daedric shrine dedicated to Mehrunes Dagon, it is probably actually set at Mehrunes Dagon's shrine at Ebernanit. The confusion could perhaps be the result of a mistake on the part of the developers.
- This theory may not be true, as future installments of The Elder Scrolls series still keep the spelling of the book as Abernanit, leading to the credence that the Daedric Ruins within the cave have been destroyed. Additionally, Ebernanit appears with the same name in ESO.
