Castle Karstaag Ruins is an icy clearing outside Castle Karstaag Caverns.
It was once a large frozen keep, but time has ravaged the structure since the slaying of its master, the frost giant Karstaag. It is now overrun by rieklings.

Castle Karstaag Ruins[edit]
The usual path to the ruins is through Castle Karstaag Caverns. Upon exiting the cavern, a leveled mounted riekling is in front of you, and to your left on the north side of the clearing are two more rieklings near the throne holding the skeleton of Karstaag. To the south is a master-locked door leading to the rest of the island, the key to which is carried by the mounted riekling. If you have already found Karstaag's skull, you can activate the throne, which will return the skull to the skeleton and summon Karstaag to rise as a ghostly frost giant.
Notes[edit]
- Castle Karstaag is the name given to a map icon in the game files added by Dragonborn, but the map icon was not used in the game.
- Castle Karstaag also appears in Bloodmoon, as an intact structure.
